Ego storms in and love goes out of the window!

Meaningful relationships then turn ugly...

True love entails caring, bringing happiness to those we love...

Fulfilling small expectations... for large tasks undertaken...

For setting aside ‘I’ , for coming down that rung, for those we love.

So much of life is lost, with stubborness,

When we are unwilling to see the clearer picture

What is so obvious to all, but not to our hearts,

Where we would much rather stay in our set lane

Doggedly hardhearted, 

With seething resentment

As we continue to stay Indignant, unrelenting

Losing out on life, losing out on love

That Selective Indifference...

Why this impermanence in relationships

that selective indifference we see slowly creeping into our lives

treasured bonds no longer there for keeps

where gently nurtured relationships, harmonious and full of love

seem to drift off the window into a world of nothingness

Existence itself becomes clothed in callous pragmatism

practical, driven perhaps...but inhumane nevertheless

lifestyles turn callous, even brutal, shrouded in cold indifference...

the genuine glee bought about by impromptu visits and unplanned

meetings, at suddenly seeing loved ones at our doorstep, 
all seem to be a sentiment of our past...familiar perhaps, to only generations of yesteryear

Hearts still claim to care; we assert that love is very much there

then why have we lost what made us wholesome and humane

that which gave us our caring identities we were so proud of possessing...

that generosity we possessed with never an expectation...

I urge you therefore...do strive to revive these relationships

and rebuild these breaking bonds

for without them we cease to exist as human beings

Being Alive

On the first day of the Monaco Yacht Show-with the Clipper Cruise Lines' Yacht in the background. This was at the Quay behind the new Yacht Club. Lovely place to take long walks-with the wind against your face, such a beautiful feeling of being alive -for a reason! For a moment it feels as though you have all the answers to the questions which went unanswered for so many years!! That there are no more questions-exalted you stand!

What makes a woman unforgettable
What makes her loved?

& warmth
She possesses a loving heart,

& take suffering in her stride
She is not petty
nor does she harbor hatred,
meanness or greed

She has no time to spare
as she works with love
& dedication
on everything she finds
worthy of her attention
or interest.
Yet, she can find enough
time for loved ones.

She has no insecurities
nor the urge to get back
at anyone.
She lives every moment
with enthusiasm
She is honorable, affectionate
brave and giving.
She is my ideal woman.

Love-something we cannot ignore
then why so much expectation
from the people we love the most?

old & weary
& extend tolerance to those
who know less
